Location : 750 NW Grand Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85007
Total building size : 8000 sq. ft.

The site is a historic and iconic building. It was designed by Ar. Victor Gruen, who is known for his 'exhibitionism' in design. It opened in the 1960's as a Quebedeaux Chevrolet and ran as an art gallery called ' Paper heart gallery' from 2000 till 2007. The site has since been unoccupied.

The neighborhood of the site is mostly residential buildings, either family bungalows or apartment complexes that house most if not all, families.

There seems to be a considerate need for a daycare facility because, in the current pandemic, it is difficult for parents to work from home and look after their kids simultaneously. The proposed design for the building right next to it is for the American Legion which would mean that this project proposal could deliver a place for those veterans to meet and play with their children/grandchildren in a safe and designated space.
